CloudSense achieves TM Forum API compliance in record time using AI
11 June 2025
Austin, TX, June 11, 2025 – CloudSense, part of the TelcoDR portfolio, has successfully certified all 13 APIs in its CPQ product set to TM Forum compliance standards in just one month — a process that would typically require 26 months using traditional development approaches. The accelerated certification was achieved through a strategic partnership with Totogi’s BSS Magic, an AI-powered platform that automated the entire conformance process. This milestone positions CloudSense to meet the rapidly growing operator demand for Open API interoperability and composable architecture requirements. The TM Forum API certification represents a key milestone in CloudSense’s strategic repositioning as a telecom, media, and technology (TMT)-specific CPQ solution. Built natively on the Salesforce platform, CloudSense is evolving its product strategy to cater specifically to the unique demands of telecommunications operators, moving beyond multi-industry CPQ capabilities to address telco-specific challenges such as complex service bundles, content licensing workflows, network dependencies, and regulatory requirements. With standardized Open APIs now in place, CloudSense is well-positioned to integrate AI capabilities across its CPQ workflows. The certified APIs provide the foundation for AI agents to deliver agentic sales processes that reduce the burden on enterprise sales representatives, optimize sales baskets for margin, and check commercial documents for revenue opportunities. TM Forum support now a non-negotiable requirement for vendors The achievement comes at a crucial time for CloudSense’s competitive positioning. Around 60% of industry RFPs now include mandatory requirements for TM Forum Open API conformance, with Oracle stating that API compliance has become “table stakes in the service provider community.” With 178 leading CSPs and technology ecosystem participants signing the Open API Manifesto, and 33 CSP signatories positioning TM Forum Open APIs as preferred requirements in their IT RFPs, compliance has shifted from nice-to-have to procurement necessity. “We’re not a horizontal CPQ vendor anymore,” said Vish Kumar, SVP, Product Management at CloudSense. “We’re positioning CloudSense as the TMT-native CPQ solution that understands the complexity of telecommunications products and services. Our Salesforce foundation gives us enterprise-grade scalability, our TM Forum compliance ensures seamless BSS ecosystem integration, and now our certified APIs create the foundation for AI-powered capabilities that will transform how telcos quote and configure services.” With TM Forum compliance now achieved, CloudSense is ready for operator procurement processes that require Open API standards. This positions CloudSense as one of the most TM Forum API-compliant CPQ solutions in the telco industry, with 13 certified APIs specifically designed for telecommunications configure-price-quote processes. The CloudSense team will be on-site to demonstrate its TM Forum-certified CPQ solutions at DTW Ignite 2025 in Copenhagen, June 17–19, showcasing how the APIs integrate with operator composable architecture initiatives and support seamless BSS ecosystem integration.
