After two extremely challenging years for not only telecommunications companies, but for the world at large, the Asia Communications Awards returned for 2021 to recognize the most innovative and agile players in the sector.
In a virtual event on Tuesday, 14 December, hosted by Total Telecom and sponsored by CloudSense, over 125 entrants from across the continent were in the running for a total of 23 awards, making it the biggest iteration of the awards in its 10-year history.
While awards for Best 5G Deployment and Most Innovative IoT Solution showcased the importance of a digital-first outlook, new awards such as the Crisis Response Award and the Social Contribution Award illustrated how broader social concerns are becoming a key part of the telecommunications sector.
